Wes from The Meadows is a solid defender for the Reds, who proved to be a real find after signing from Central Midlands side Dunkirk in 2002.

He made his debut as a left back against Port Vale in the Carling Cup 2002. He has since become one of the first names on the team sheet for every manager since.

He scored his first goal in the 6-0 win over Wimbledon in October 2003. Now an established central defender who has linked well with among others Des Walker and Michael Dawson and more recently Kelvin Wilson.

Occasionally Wes will surge forward from defence with threatening runs much to the crowds amusement, he has his own chant of 'You'll never beat Wes Morgan' whenever he makes his trademark pinpoint tackles.

Now Forest's longest serving player and the local lad who wears his shirt with real pride.

Appearances in all competitions: 273, 10g
