Before Viv was known to the masses, he had made his reputation in the reserves winning the player of the tournament award in the Bremen International youth tournament which the Forest youth won in 1973

Known as Spider to the fans due to his telescopic legs, Anderson was a true Forest great

The right back was a great defender who always seemed to win the ball and could get forward in style

Viv became the first ever black England footballer who went on to win 30 caps for his country

Viv was from the Carlton area of Nottingham and he went on to appear 425 times for the Red's between 1974 and 1982

He was assistant coach at Middlesbrough before leaving the game and setting up his own sports event company.
