This expereienced midfield campaigner was on many occasions the difference between winning and losing matches.

His intelligence and composure on the ball calmed down the play in the centre of the park.

A pacy right sided midfielder that possessed a good cross and the ability to run at opposition defenders.

One game in particular showed Stone at his best when at White Hart Lane in the 1994-1995 season he had scored a blinder from the right hand side and in his assisting most of the goals from a 1-4 victory against Spurs.

Stone was a tremendous influence on every Forest player he worked with.
