It took Marlon 8 years to look the true striker at forest and in the 2003/2004 season he became the most improved striker in the First Division bagging 11 goals in 19 games at the start of the season, a great feat bearing in mind the absence of his partner David Johnson.

Marlon had lightning pace for such a big man and was not afraid to use his ox like strength to leave opposition defenders in his wake. He always gave maximum effort for the Red's which contributed to some of his poor striking decisions

After all the years that the City Ground faithful had to endure Marlon's constant offsides and missed sitters Harewood announced in 2003 that he would not sign a new improved contract and left for West Ham United.

Marlon rejoined his boyhood club in 2011 and played a further 6 games none of which the club won but his efforts were appreciated.
