Mark Geoffrey Crossley 16/06/1969 NAT: Wales POS: Goalkeeper Previous Clubs: Manchester United Joined Forest: 02/07/1987 Signing Fee: Trainee Left Forest: 20/02/1998 loan to Millwall, 25/07/2000 free to Middlesbrough Crossley was known to the fans as 'Big Norm' an outstanding keeper who kept the Forest goal confidently both for the Red's and for his home nation of Wales keeping goal 390 times between 1988 and 2000. Crossley made his debut against Liverpool on October 26 1988 before a nightime City Ground crowd of 30,000. An hour before kick off Cloughie had Crossley sweeping the corridors, then he informed him that Sutton had been taken ill and he was starting against the mighty Liverpool. Forest won 2-1 and Cloughie made sure the ball was signed by all involved before handing it to Mark at the end.
