A midfielder who preferred the right side and expressed himself whrough a wide range of creative passing.

Lars seemed to struggle though with the physical aspects of Premier League life but he scored the 4th goal in a 4-1 dismantling of Spurs in the 94-95 season with a deft chip from the edge of the area. He also scored direct from a corner against Norwich at the City Ground when their keeper Bryan Gunn had been stretchered off and the young reserve keeper was left reeling. Very adept at scoring worldlies Bohinen was quiet for periods but would then score a worldlie from nothing.

In January 2007 he became sports director in Stabaek football in the Norweigan Premier League
