Miah was the player who was keeping John Robertson out of the team when Brian Clough arrived at Forest in 1975, Cloughies arrival heralded the end of Miah's Forest career.

He returned to Ireland in the 80s. In 2007 he was the victim of a serious assault and suffered severe brain damage.
