Dave Mackay Dave had the unenviable job of lifting the Reds out of the second division after Matt Gillies side were newly relegated when Mackay started the job in November 1972. Forest looked largely unspectacular during Mackay's spell at the club and few were upset when in 1973 Dave left to manage Derby County after Brian Clough and Peter Taylor's resignations were surprisingly accepted. return to previous page |
