Chris Woods NAT: England POS: Goalkeeper Previous Clubs: Joined Forest: 1977 Signing fee: Left Forest: 1978 At the tender age of 18 Chris signed for Forest and amazingly never made a league appearance for the Reds. Though his name is well and truly in the record books for the League Cup campaign during the 1977-1978 season. Shilton was cup tied so Woods thrown in goal where he helped the Reds all the way to the final. It was a collection of brave performances that took them there, where Woods' youth didn't faze him none at the final at Wembley Stadium against Southampton Forest went on to win 3-2. He was the keeper a year later when Forest beat Liverpool in the League Cup Final to reclaim the cup. Woods was also the substitute at the first European Cup Final Vs Malmo.
