Christopher Ross Doig 13/02/1981 NAT: Scotland POS: Defence Previous Clubs: Queen of the South Joined Forest: 07/03/1998 Signing fee: Trainee Left Forest: 15/09/2003 loan to Northampton Town, 07/07/2005 free to Northampton Town A tall and commanding centre back. Doig's favoured position was centre half though at Forest he played in a variety of roles during his time at the club at one moment he was the longest serving player on the books despite still being in his early twenties. In 2003 he was loaned to Northampton Town where he impressed many but he returned to the City Ground after an injury crisis. He was forced to perform at the unfamiliar role of left back where he shone till Alan Rogers cruelly took his place after recovering. P/FL: 62 + 15, 1 gl, FLC: 7 + 2, FAC: 7 return to previous page |
