Brian Roy NAT: Holland POS: Striker Previous Clubs: Fogio Joined Forest: 1994 Signing fee: £2.500.000 Left Forest: 1997 Roy's signing broke the Forest transfer record when Frank Clark signed him in 1994, he was instrumental in Forest finishing third the 1994-1995 season. He made his first full league debut in the opening Premiership game against Ipswich Town at Portman Road and scored with a 20 yard shot that settled the match 1-0 in Forest's favour. He was a real tricky customer with his feet and the Premiership defences of that season found him to be a reak handful along with Stan Collymore. The same season he scored two great goals in September 1994 against Spurs after feeding well from Steve Stone. He also bagged two goals at Hillsborough when the Forest men drubbed Sheffield Wednesday 1-7 Brian made 110 appearances and scored 28 goals before moving to Germany Roy was youth team coach for the under 10s at Ajax but has since taken up modelling return to previous page |
