Cole the Manchester United legend joined Forest his hometown club in 2008 and missed the start of the season with a recurrence of a groin problem from the previous season.

He made his debut at the end of August 2008 against Watford where he helped the Red's to their first victory of the season.

After a brief run in the side he retired in October only days after being replaced on his last ever league appearance against Ipswich.
